In Loving Memory of Alexis

We all want to know what happened
We just want to know what went wrong
She was here, and so happy
And then we blink and she's gone

Alexis should still be here
But we never will forget
All the times she made us laugh
And all the times she'll miss

We shouldn't have had to say goodbye
Not to Alexis' casket
Surrounded by flowers, family, and friends
It was just how she would've wanted it

Everything was so perfect then
So why did it have to change?
Alexis has gone to a better place
Our lives will never be the same

We miss her so much
And it's just so hard to realize she's gone
Then we think of her smile and her meatball cheeks
And we just can't help but grin

We all really miss her
She's always in our hearts
And we will always love her
We have since the start

It wasn't supposed to happen this way
Alexis shouldn't have had to go
But now we're starting to realize
God was calling his angel home
