News5/10 - We would like to congratulate Brandie Wilkinson as the 2006 Alexis Batastini Memorial Scholarship recipient. I will be posting some pictures from the ceremony soon, as well as from last year's ceremony. Thanks again for the people who donated as well. 5/9 - We are proud to announce the Alexis Batastini Memorial Scholarship. It has actually been active for a year and I finally have gotten around to getting up on the site. Go check it out to see what it is all about. We hope you will join us in helping a special young person each year and honoring Alexis at the same time. 3/12 - Added poem by Alexis' sister, Morgan. I am still working on putting the scholarship information on the site, hopefully it will be up soon. 12/12 - Finally finished picture page 3. It has some pictures from a memorial of children that have passed from Alexis' High School in Florida. Added pop up descriptions to all picture pages as well. We went to the gravesite over the weekend and found that some of her friends had made the trip from Mascotte\Clermont. Thank you for taking the time to visit and showing how much you cared for Alexis and miss her. We took some pictures of the things they left along with some things we left as well. I hope to get them up soon. Hopefully it will not take as long as page 3!! Also we would like to thank the employees of Best Buy at the Mall of Georgia for making a contribution in Alexis' name to South Lake High School's Alexis Batastini Cheerleading Scholarship. I will be putting some information about this soon in case anyone else would like to help a young person's education and at the same time honoring Alexis. 12/10 - Added poem to Stories page. 12/4 - Added pictures to picture page 3. No its not finished, but it is close. My computer crashed and I lost some pictures and I had to reload my picture editing program. I hope to finish it soon. If you have some of your own you would like to see up, please send them to pics@alexisbatastini.com. As you know, it will be one year without Alexis on the 10th of this month. At times it seems longer, and at times it doesn't seem that long. We all miss her and wish she was here with us. Please remember her and try your best not to cry and be sad, but remember all the times she made us laugh and smile. She would only want us to remember her that way and hope to put a smile on our faces and in our hearts as she did when she was with us. 11/16 - Added Poem to Stories page. I am still working on picture page 3, I hope to finish it soon. 10/8 - New updates coming soon. The move has had us busy settling in. I hope to finally finish picture page 3 in the next week. 7/30 - Added some stories and a poem. Alexis' mother, brother, and I moved to Atlanta, GA. There were not any updates while our move took place. We are settling in and hopefully there will be some more updates soon. Alexis was honored by her High School at the end of last school year and I hope to have some updates about that soon as well. Keep checking back, and please send in anything you want to say or some pictures you want on the site. 6/18 - Added pictures from the Bench and Tree Memorial. Added descriptions to these pictures when you hold the mouse over them. Will update all pictures with this soon. Will try to update Picture page 3 over the weekend. I have also received a few more poems and a story. Will also try to get those up soon as well. 5/14 - Updated buttons in preparation for pictures and to reflect which page you are currently on. 5/10 - Added 2 Poems to the Stories page. The new pictures should be up by the weekend. I am redoing the navigation buttons so they will be easier to navigate with multiple picture pages. There will also be pictures from the bench and tree dedication. We would like to thank all who came to honor Alexis with us. And thanks again to Dr. Sanchez and everyone at HMS. Updated the Tabs at the top of the page. Gave them new colors when you hover over them and click on them. Consolidated the Multimedia and Pictures Page (now called Pics/Video). Moved the Memorial Presentation to the Pics/Video page. 2/7 - Added Pagecounter to bottom of page. 1/30 - Added poem to Stories Page. 1/27 - Added poem to Stories Page. Previous: Added poem to Stories page. Added pictures to the pictures page. The site has finally been listed in a search engine. Yahoo now lists the site as first on the list when you type "Alexis Batastini" in the search field. Other search engines should follow soon. UPDATE - Hotbot, Altavista, Dogpile, Lycos all list the site now. It is taking a while for Google and MSN to list it for some reason. Added navigation tabs at top of page.
